Residence Hall Rehabilitation / Renovation Buffalo State College, Buffalo, NY

A new style of campus housing grew out of an unfortunate fire that damaged the eighth floor of Dormitory Tower 3. The traditional dormitory spaces were redesigned to accommodate four three-bedroom apartments, each with a common living room, dining room, kitchenette, and a large bathroom. Data wiring, telephone, and cable television were integrated into each bedroom.

Created as a prototype for Buffalo State College, the entire Tower may be renovated to highlight this “apartment style” type of dormitory life.
